Direct School Admission (DSA) Exercise 2012
For Niche in Volleyball

Presbyterian High School provides pupils in the Volleyball Team opportunities for a broad-based education through the development of character and the inculcation of knowledge and acquisition of skills needed to lead a physically healthy lifestyle. The Volleyball Excellence Programme also aims to groom the players into socially responsible pupils capable of serving and meeting the needs of the school and the community.

The Presbyterian High School Volleyball Team was set up in 1985. The Volleyball Girls’ school teams have performed consistently well in both Zonal and National Inter schools 
Championships- over the years they have managed to secure a top four placing in either the Zonal or National Inter schools championships.

Selection Criteria
	CCA Achievement Students should preferably have represented their primary school in sports and games.
2.	Physical Students should preferable be at least 1.6 metres in height.
3.	Character Students should possess a positive attitude and a sense of commitment, as described by their primary school teachers and/or coaches.

Application Procedure
	Application forms will be available from 14 May 2012 onwards. You can download it from the school website, or obtain a hardcopy from our school/general office from 8.30 - 5.30 pm. Click here to download form.
	Copies of the following documents are to be submitted together with the application form: NAPFA Test results Primary 5 Semester 1 & 2 and Primary 6 Semester 1 result slips CCA and/or achievement records Other supporting documents, e.g. testimonial from coaches/primary school teachers For information for the closing date, please see Timeline.

Selection Details
	Short-listed candidates will be informed to attend a selection test at Presbyterian High School. Please ensure that you provide a valid contact/mobile number.

1. Who can apply for DSA?
All Primary 6 students who meet the selection criteria.

2. How do I apply?
Application forms will be available from the School General Office and available for download from the PHS website. Submit the completed form together with the necessary documents by hand, or by post to Presbyterian High School.

3. How will I know the results of my application?
All applicants will be informed of the results of their application by post.

4. My child is not in a national school. What is the application procedure?
Any child not in our national schools will require a letter issued by MOE HQ at the MOE Customer Service Centre. The letter contains a Registration Number, which he/she can use to apply for the DSA.
